Transform your research, ideas, and best practices into a presentation for the Appita FVCCON22 Technical Forum. Share your knowledge with the industry and encourage dialogue and sharing ideas to drive new solutions to our greatest industry challenges. We encourage anyone interested in sharing their experiences, ideas, and case studies on the latest technologies and innovations with the greater Appita community to submit a presentation abstract.

BEST MILL PAPER PRIZE
Mill presentations are encouraged and welcomed.  All mill submissions will be considered for the Best Mill Paper Prize. Download judging criteria.

The Best Mill Paper Prize is awarded to the best paper presented at the conference by a person working in a pulp and/or paper mill.  It is based on technical content, quality of oral presentation, and audience interest.  Valued at AUD2000, the prize is to be used for professional development.

SUBMIT PRESENTATION DETAILS 

KEY DATES:

  • Wednesday 10 Aug 2022 - Abstract Submission and Speaker’s Bio/Image due. Please use  Abstract Template
  • Wednesday 17 Aug 2022 - Notification of Acceptance and book pre-recording of presentation.
  • Tuesday 6 Sept 2022 - Extended Abstracts - Please use the Extended Abstract Template
  • Friday 30 Sept 2022 - Speaker’s Registration due
  • Monday 3 October – Friday 28 Oct 2022 - Pre-recording session of the presentation with Appita to take place.
  • Thursday 1 December, Pulp & Paper Technical Forum, Best Mill Papers, and New Speaker Competition Final – Held via Zoom

ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS:

  • 300–600-word abstract outlining the content of the proposed presentation.
  • Speaker’s bio and current image (300 dpi jpeg) must accompany the submission.
  • Outline to state clearly and in some detail what the presentation will contain, including a summary of the results and conclusion of the work described.
  • Please use the Abstract Templates provided.

SPEAKERS’ PRESENTATIONS:

  • Sessions will be presented via Zoom meeting.
  • Presentation will be pre-recorded and reviewed by the Appita Technical Committee for approval.
  • Each session will comprise three presentations.
  • Presentation timing:
  • 5-minute chair introduction, strictly 15 minutes speaker presentation (pre-recorded), 10-minute virtual Q&A.
  • Speakers are expected to join the session at 11:30 am (AEST) for speakers prep and tech test.

SPEAKERS’ REGISTRATION:
