Brian is a learning and development professional with 47 years of wide-ranging experience. Much of that time was spent attached to the UK Ministry of Defence where he was employed in a training and development role across all three armed services, primarily with the Army.

He left the UK in 1998 and joined the newly created training support division of the New Zealand Fire Service where he managed the complete rebuild of the Service’s training and progression system.

In 2011 he took up the post of Head of Learning and Development for Carter Holt Harvey (now OJI Fibre Solutions).
