Sahan has worked in the pulp and paper industry since he completed his mechanical engineering degree in 2012. He completed his master’s in Maintenance & Reliability Engineering in 2018, and his position is now the Asset Management Engineer of pressure vessels, at the Maryvale mill site.

Sahan works with the local Latrobe Young Professionals group and the Appita Young Professionals Network.
He was very instrumental in the establishment of the Appita Mentoring Program, believing that mentoring plays a key role in developing invaluable interpersonal skills that are vital to young people’s careers.

He continues to actively work with his local young professionals’ group in the Latrobe Valley, as well as the Appita Young Professionals Network.
