Paul Stuart is Co-Founder and Principal Consultant at EnVertis Inc, as well as a Professor of Chemical Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal. Following more than a decade in engineering design and strategic consulting in service of the forest products sector, Paul joined Polytechnique to become Chairholder of an NSERC Chair in Design Engineering, where he co-founded EnVertis Consulting. Paul addresses industry-driven problems using product and process design methodologies and systems analysis tools, targeting the forest products industry and its transformation to new business models such as the biorefinery. He seeks to assist forest product companies transform by developing practical and concrete strategies, that create competitive advantage through the implementation of state-of-the-art technologies in light of Net Zero GHG Emissions, Digitalization and other key emerging issues. Paul is a founding Fellow of the Pulp and Paper Technical Association of Canada (PAPTAC), a past President of the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering (CSChE), and a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE).
