Thursday 22 February 2018 2:00-5:30pm

The aim of this afternoon is to give newcomers to the pulp and paper industry an overview of the NZ industry, and to give them a chance to meet other new comers in an informal way. We hope this will help them understand more quickly how the mills function, and to make contacts and establish their own network faster than has happened in the past.

The program will broadly introduce what each mill does, the processes, the products and give everyone a chance to meet each other in an informal way - there will be time to have drinks and a quiz with some prizes for the best team.

The target participants are anyone in the industry with less than 1 to 1.5 years’ experience. This includes new graduates, operators, designers, technicians, process engineers, marketing, quality control, managers, administrators, suppliers and vendors – there are no restrictions.

There is NO COST to participants. Appita is hosting the afternoon, and just asks for employers’ support by allowing staff to attend the afternoon.

Pre-registration is required though. Please give names by
