Scientist, Scion, New Zealand
Dr. Angelique F. Greene is a polymer scientist at Scion (Rotorua) working on advanced sustainable materials for packaging, sensing, and building applications. Angelique’s primary areas of research include developing biobased coatings and adhesives for fibre-based materials and the triggered degradation of biodegradable plastics. Her research incorporates the use of synthetic chemistry, additive manufacturing, and a wide variety of chemical and mechanical analysis techniques. Angelique is originally from the USA and received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Tulane University (New Orleans, Louisiana) in 2016 and held a postdoctoral position at Washington University in St. Louis from 2016-2018. Dr. Greene is the recipient of a 2020 Science for Technological Innovation grant (SfTI) for work on eco-friendly materials for water-filtration.
