Yan Luo holds a degree in Paper Science and Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and brings over 18 years of experience in the paper industry. He currently serves as APAC Manager at TECHPAP SAS, a subsidiary of the French paper research center Centre Technique du Papier (CTP).

Previously, Yan managed the North American market before relocating to Grenoble, France, and later to Brisbane, Australia, where he established the Asia Pacific region. Today, APAC accounts for over 30% of the company’s global turnover.

Yan has contributed to projects involving paper quality assessment and methodology development, process improvement, fiber studies, refining control, and energy optimization etc. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring cuisine, as well as playing badminton, skiing, and snowboarding.
