- Pulp & Paper Technical Service Engineer
The ANDRITZ GROUP is a global market leader who supplies plants, equipment, and services for hydro-power stations, the pulp and paper industry, for solid/liquid separation in the municipal and industrial sectors, the steel industry and the production of animal feed and biomass pellets. We have an impressive heavy industrial client base with great growth prospects.
Our small Australian team are looking for a suitably qualified Technical Service Engineer to take responsibility for the creation and execution of technical support and delivery of work within pulp, paper and panel board industry in ANZ.
Reporting into Pulp & Paper Country Manager, the Technical Service Engineer operates in heavy industrial sectors across Australia and New Zealand and has a significant installed asset base, representing great growth prospects.
The role will involve a high degree of technical aptitude, along with the need to interact directly with internal and external stakeholders. The successful incumbent will be able to further develop incremental business growth through the successful technical support to existing customers.
Specifically, we are looking for someone who can provide on-site technical services, support machine start-ups and technological support for respective products: refiners, screens, cleaners, dewatering machines and paper machine. Keep track of the condition from mechanical pulping lines within the sub region.
You will work successfully face-to-face with customers and will also engage with and manage suppliers, subcontractors or professional services to deliver customer and company expectations.
The ideal candidate has either an Engineering/Science Degree or relevant experience as well as the knowledge of machinery and processes in production environment. Experience in equipment in a comparable heavy industrial industry i.e. such forestry industry would be extremely advantageous however it is your demonstrable sales experience in a B2B environment and your proven experience working to performance and achievement KPIs which will be of most benefit and interest to us.
As many of our customers are based outside of Melbourne (across Australia and New Zealand), there will be the need to travel approximately 80% of your time, therefore a willingness and ability to travel is paramount to the success of this role.

About the Opportunity
This position is located at our Millicent Mill commencing in March 2022 and will span for a fixed term period of 4 years. Our Graduate Program is designed to provide the right experience, exposure and education to develop our future leaders and technical experts. Skills & Experience
As the successful applicant you have recently completed your Bachelor's degree in Engineering majoring in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Process Engineering. To compliment your qualifications, you will have obtained relevant industry experience in the manufacture and maintenance of machines and/or in writing software.
Additionally, you will have the following:
• Bachelor level Degree – Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Process Graduates)
• Excellent analytical skills
• Lean Six Sigma or similar Root Cause problem identification
• Well-developed oral and written communication
• Proficiency Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
• High level of planning and organisational skills
• Excellent influencing skills and ability to adapt interpersonal style for internal and external stakeholders and customers
