The Oertel Nadebaum Distinguished Service Award is designed to provide recognition to Appita members who have made substantial non-technical contributions, in a voluntary capacity, to Appita over a number of years. The nominee should have been an active financial member for at least ten years.
Oertel Nadebaum Award recognises outstanding service to Appita.
The prize is funded directly by Appita. It takes the form of a bronze sculpture of about 120 mm diameter, mounted on polished wood, with a cast bronze plate bearing the winners name.

Mr Russell Allan - Oertel Nadebaum Distinguished Service Award (2023).
The 2023 Oertel Nadebaum Distinguished Service Award was presented to Russell Allan at the 2023 Appita Fibre Revolution Conference in Melbourne, on 23rd November.
The Oertel Nadebaum Distinguished Service Award honours the late Oertel Nadebaum, who gave outstanding service to Appita over more than two decades.
It is designed to provide recognition to Appita members who have made substantial non-technical contributions to Appita over a period of years. A member under consideration for the award should have been active in Appita for at least 10 years. The award is in the form of a plaque.
