| 8:00 pm | “Rethinking Radiata; Future Proofing NZ’s Kraft Pulp & Paper Industry” Paul Watson, Technical Services Manager, Oji Fibre Solutions Highlighting past successes, this presentation will compare OjiFS’s current situation vs global competitors regarding Radiata pine fibre quality, cost and end use value delivery. Wood and fibre quality attribute targets for future Radiata pine breeding will be discussed in consideration of OjiFS new short rotation Radiata pine plantation program which was recently established to determine in part, the viability of a world scale kraft pulp biorefinery project in New Zealand. |
