Fibre-Based Flexibles: The Alternatives to Plastics in a Global Supply Chain – A Zespri Case-Study

Wynand joined Zespri in 2019, overseeing the Coolchain and Packaging Departments. Previous to Zespri, Wynand held several positions in Engineering, Agriculture, Polymer Sciences, Technology & Business Development. Wynand now applies his extensive knowledge within Technology Development, Innovation & Sustainability, driving new packaging solutions in support of Zespri’s sustainability strategy. He is passionate about the opportunities within Zespri and New Zealand to be sustainability change agents and taking this leadership statement into action.

Prior to working in the kiwifruit Industry, Wynand held a variety of positions within the Petro-Chemical Industry in South Africa, spanning more than 25years, gaining significant global experience within his field of expertise. He permanently relocated to New Zealand with his family in 2016.
