Thilina Gunawardhana
Thilina Gunawardhana is currently a research engineer at Opal Research & Technology, and he holds a PhD in chemical engineering from BioPRIA, Monash University. Thilina is experienced in pulp & paper properties, and biorefinery/biomanufacturing concepts in pulp & paper industry including microfibrillated cellulose. Thilina has a passion for data analytics and visualization, and he is well versed in several data analysis platforms including MATLAB, Python, and Power BI. Thilina served as the inaugural chair of Appita Young Professionals Network from 2017-2020, and he is currently a committee member in both Appita YPN and Appita Technical Committee.
