Stephen Keyte, Oji Fibre Solutions, Customer Technical Services Manager – Pulp

Steve is employed at Oji Fibre Solutions within the Pulp Sales and Marketing Team, as their Customer Technical Services Manager. Prior to joining OjiFS Steve worked in the Norske Skog Tasman papermill in various Technical and Production roles. This employment spanned 1994 through to 2015 – with a four year sojourn in the mid 2000’s working for Nalco NZ Ltd supporting their products within the NZ Pulp and Paper industry. 

Steve’s association with ‘Pulp and Paper’ began in 1989 when he was employed in a research collaboration between Victoria University of Wellington and the then Fletcher Paper’s Tasman Pulp & Paper Mill in Kawerau, NZ.

Steve has been a member of Appita since 1990, joining the New Zealand Section Committee in 2004, and serving as NZ Section President in 2007. Over this time, Steve has been involved in both fundamental Research & Development, and Product and Process development projects. He acknowledges the support offered to him by many people in the Australasian Pulp and Paper Industry and their generous help sharing industry specific knowledge.
